Highway 76 from Clayton, GA to Hiawassee, GA

I think they call this highway the "Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway." I'm curious if anyone has driven this stretch from Clayton, GA to Hiawassee, GA? We are planning a trip in July and are hoping this is a good highway for our 40 ft diesel pulling a car on a car dolly.

Appreciate any info... anyone has.

Ran it a few weeks ago- Hiawasee to Clayton. The road surface is very good. Mostly two lane with a few passing lanes. It is hilly and there are some substantial curves for most of the run. We ran it in our 39 foot gasser towing the toad on a dolly. No struggle for the moho but it was quite rainy and foggy that day and we kept it pretty slow on the hilly/curvy parts. Sight distances are something to be on top of for most of the trip.

Not much for service between the two towns so make sure your OK on fuel.

Drove from Hiawassee GA to Clayton last week, pulling a 41ft fifth wheel with an f350 diesel dually, no problems other than mountain phobic wife. Good roads, great scenery and some passing lanes.
