Leaving S. Texas in 2 weeks heading to Sioux Falls, SD. Are there any issues with Missouri River flooding near I-29? Especially along the IA/NE border.

I-29 is closed south of Omaha near the Missouri border and also near Sioux City, you need to check out the Iowa DOT website, it might be closed for over a month, Good Luck

looks like i may need to take I-35 all the way to Albert Lea then 90 to Sioux Falls. That is assuming I-35 thru Kansas City is still OK by the time I get there. That seems to be the alternate route for I-29 closures according to multiple DOT's.

You've got the right idea about going I-35. I-29 north and south of Omaha closed and they are talking about sometime in August before it opens back up. Not just a little water, we're talking 8-10' deep in parts.
