Hwy 1 in Maine

Does highway 1 in Maine have any low clearance problems for Motorhomes. It does not show up on good Sams road map that has them marked. Thanks

I ran it last year from Freeport north to Bar Harbor. No low clearance issues but some of the towns can be slow going and congested. Pretty drive though.

I'd be more worried about how narrow the road is in many places.

I like Hwy 1 in Maine. It's scenic and the little towns give you a sense of what the "down east" lifestyle is all about.

We have run from the bottom up to Bangor without problems. Slow, enjoyable ride with much to do. Going up, Red's Eats in Wiscasset is a must stop. Next is Beartha. A three story globe, then hide the credit cards as you go to freeport. Enjoy your trip.

X2 I rather go route 1 than Maine pike, use the Rockland bypass, and Camden and Rockport are a bit narrow and congested. Camden Hills SP above Camden has some hookups. Try
Moody dinner above Damariscotta and UNION RIVER restaurant in Ellsworth. Travel in 28' class c with toad

Went up Hwy 1 last fall 30' MH, towing 2015 jeep wrangler no problems at anytime. Tip watch side streets in smaller towns alot are dead end and none are marked.
