Hwy 191 North of I-40

Friend of mine is looking to pull a 38 ft 5'r north from I-40 in Arizona up thru Canyon De Chelly and continuing into Utah. Has anyone been up or down 191 and is it a decent road for a 5th wheel? Thanks in advance.

Should not be a problem. Not many places to pull off to take pictures on the way north. Last time we made trip. It had rained night before. Pickup trucks traveling off road had clay rapped around tires all the way to fender wells. Made 191 a little dirty.

Haven't been into Arizona on 191, but it is fine in Utah all the way to the Arizona border. We just got back from the area, and had no trouble. Mostly it is a 2 lane with frequent passing lanes in the mountains, and there are lots of fifth wheels and big motor homes doing fine.
