from wilsonville i would go I-5 south to salem, take 22 to bend. then i would take 20 back out of bend then take 126 down to eugene then onto I-5 south. all good easy roads to run, very scenic as well. if you wanted to see a little more of 97 you could run south out of bend on 97 to where hwy 58 comes in, follow that over the mtns. to I-5 south. all excellent roads and all very scenic. all have rivers they follow while passing lakes.
Now that sounds doable.

Barry that is the one we stayed in when we went to Bend, it was ok but it is in the middle of a residential area, and there is really nothing to see. They are really nice big spots but you feel like you are in a Mobile Home park. For the price you can stay in better places in Sisters or the place I was talking about it's about 10 miles from Sisters as you are heading into Bend. If you do go to Crown Villa do not pass the entrance(it is easy to do) as there is a 10' bridge just around the corner with no place to turn. We actually had to back up about 200 yards to do a 3 point turn, and it wasn't easy due to traffic.

We took the route Laj is talking about to get to Bend and took the 97 to the 395 and then south. We have gone both ways, the I5 is beautiful until you get south of Oregon and into California, 395 is nice all the way back to the Ridgecrest area. If you do go back the I5 be sure and stop at Seven Feathers Casino Campground, you won't find a nicer cleaner CG, and with all the discounts its about $37 for a full hook up pull thru spot.

Bend Sisters RV parks

When we lived in Bend in the 70"s Crown Villa was a mobile home park, and not easy to get there with a tow if its your first time.
One of Good Sams top rated parks in the nation is just a mile or so East of Sisters on the Sisters - Bend Hwy. We have not had the opportunity to stay there yet, However we have stayed at 7 Feathers and it looks like evry bit as nice. Although the price is for that level of park. Bend Sisters Garden RV Resort. Be aware that the second weekend in July is the Sisters Quilt Show, so a reservation would probably be appropriate. Its a BIG deal.
