I have been down Highway 25E several times thru the tunnel. It is generally a good road, mostly 4 lane, very scenic. Corbin, and Middlesboro have several traffic lights and both are congested. In Tennessee between Tazwell and Morristown there was highway construction on one strech for about 10 miles or so, the last time I was thru there, maybe 6 months ago. Clinch Mountain is a little steep, but it only lasts for a couple of miles. You should have no problem if you dont push too hard. Hope this helps.

i live close by and go up to corbin ecery other week, just as the other guys says no problems, just one mountain to cross, 4 lanes, not to steep (average interstate climb) i see a lot campers everyday, you will enjoy the drive.

I'll add my .02's worth. It's a pretty easy drive as long as you're aware of the construction in the Clinch river area. It's kinda narrow with the concrete barriers. Adjust your speed accordingly. Ky. Hwy Patrol is usually out on numbers from Middlesboro to Corbin-as my signature says "retired LEO" I don't speed thru there. Given the option of US 25 e or Jellico Mt. on I-75 -I'll choose 25e from home to I-75 no.
Safe travels...
