We plan on leaving for a 2 month trip and am looking at routes. From Ca to Idaho is easy but we plan on going North into Canada from Idaho and taking Hwy 3 to Vancouver. I have a 26 ft class A and will be towing a 72 VW. Has anybody done this route? I am not afraid of hills or narrow roads.
Thanks
Mike

If you come out of Idaho at Kingsgsate border crossing just south of where I live you have 6 mountain passes to get to Vancouver. The highway is good two lane road, some complain the highway has too many corners but I think it is just fine, I have traveled it with my 40 footer towing the Suzuki without problems.

When you have time it's an ok highway... I drove it twice and found it nice.
My brother is a Trucker and he hates that road.
It's in the mountains, so no speeding until you come to Hope, BC

What the others have said. Don't expect to 'make time' but is a very nice trip if you slow down and enjoy the scenery especially on Anarchist mountain into Osoyoos.
