If your talking about Interstate 30 to Interstate 40, yes it is a good ride. Last time I made the trip was 2016, and the only poor road was between Forrest City, AR, and Memphis, Tn. As far as one day, yea, it can be done, takes me about 10 hours, but I drive between 60-65 mph, but like taking a lot of breaks, I never get in a hurry to get some place. You didn't say what you were driving, but it can be done in shorter time, since the speed limit in Tx is 75 mph, and I believe it is still 70 mph in AR, but is suppose to change to 75. Safe travels.

We took that route a couple of years ago with our 5'er, but stopped along the way to sight see. Yes it is possible to make Memphis in one day, but it will be a long one. One time we left Ft. Worth and made it to El Paso by sunset. That was a long day!!! Safe travels.

I travel this route several times a year, latest just a couple weeks ago. Biggest "hill" is the bridge over the Mississippi. No major construction encountered, and never tried to make it to Memphis in a day from DFW. DFW-Little Rock-Nashville-Wytheville-DC Area are my typical stops. I'm considering taking the southern by-pass around Memphis (55/240) next time just because of the pot holes on 40.

Stayed there once. Think I took 55 and then an exit onto the road Graceland is on. Watch carefully for the right hand turn into the campground. It's very hard to see. I blew by it and had a heck of a time turning around, and that was with a 20 ft. Class B at the time. If you go past the planes on your right you've gone too far. Nice campground. Can walk to the entrance to Graceland and the other tourist concessions. Free Limo ride to a BBQ joint from the campground also.
