Hwy 50,West Virginia

Want to leave interstate 79 in West Virginia at Clarksburg/Bridgeport and take Hwy. 50 to Winchester Virginia.Wil I be able to travel this road in a 40' motorhome with tow.Thanks for any advice.

Use one of the map programs (Google or Bing) to view the road. Enlarge the scale to see how the road really twists & turns with a couple of switchbacks over the mountains. Your rig will certainly fit on the road, but the actual driving might be a real pain. Unless you feel adventurous, why not continue north on I-79, then east on I-68, then south on I-85 to Winchester?

Just looking for a shortcut,but I guess taking a secondary road thru the mountains might not be a shortcut,ha.

I think this is a good assessment. I rode this section of US50 a while back on a motorcycle. It was great. Not so much in a motor home.
