Any reason you're not just staying on I-77 and picking up 119 in Charleston?

I need to get to Holden W.V. and didn't want to go that for north and have to cut back.

Although I have not been on that road, I did not see any replies so I want to help out.

Using Google Maps and zooming in, you can better see the characteristics of the road and make a determination. For example, Rt. 52 near Gilbert, WV looks like a hairpin turn. But as you zoom in, you see it as a lazy curve along a river.

From Wytheville, VA to Holden, WV, Google Maps sends you up I-77 to Rt. 3 south to Rt. 119 south in a little under 3 hours. The Rt. 52 route takes about the same time and has you cut off 52 onto 10/80 which leads you right into Holden.

Safe travels!
