I am planning on driving a 37 foot motorhome with toad from Memphis to Chattanooga. DeLorme is pointing at hwy 64, rather than I40 through Nashville. Does anyone know how hwy 64 is?

If you haven't left yet, I would advise taking I-40/I-24 unless you want a very slow trip...

You may want to run the primary roads rather than the Interstate. You will not "lose" that much time. On Wednesday, I ran GA Hwy 27 from S GA up here to Chattanooga (lots of small towns and many had bypasses around them, ones that didn't I simply drove thru them). We picked up I-75 in Calhoun. While it was about 30 miles longer than running I-75 we probably saved time by not having to drive thru a big city (Atlanta). A large number of semi-s are now traveling the primary and secondary roads and these roads are being widened to 4 lanes. Our traveling speed was much slower than what I was running on the interstate but I also was much more relaxed by the time we got here. It was an 8 hour trip but I was not worn out like I am when we drive thru Atlanta. Depends on what your objective is. "Local" traffic seems to be clogging up the Interstate highways around the larger towns.

Currently in Chester Frost Park (Hixon/Chattanooga) for Riverbend.
