Is I-10 east of Houston really as rough as they talk about? Going to Destin Fl.

Here in Louisiana I-10 has some rough spots for sure, but many have been repaired or are being repaired.. I-10 through MS and AL are good. Of course I-10 in TX is really good.

May want to take 20 through Hammond to miss New Orleans. Some bad dips on 10 that will rattle your teeth.

We have family in Austin, and have made many round trips on I-10 from Fla. to Central TX. Last one this past February. It is a lot better than it used to be.

That's I-12 that bypasses NO via Hammond.

Sorry. It's been a while since having to go that way for work.

I'm not sure how others describe 10 east of Houston but I bypass it on 90 towards Beaumont then get on 10 at Beaumont. I think it is easier. Also as others have mentioned 12 bypassing New Orleans is a winner.
