I-40 and Hwy 69

Last year we traveled from Fort Smith, AR to Checotah, OK on I-40 and then Checotah to Sherman, TX on Highway 69. The roads in places were so rough that our TV vibrated loose. Can anyone give an update on the current road conditions? Thanks, RJ

Been almost a year since we were through that section of road. Oklahoma is known for poor roads in general. While they are working on Hwy 69, there will most likely be some rough sections. Best thing to do is just slow down. If there was no traffic behind, I'd scoot over in the left lane and keep an eye to the rear. If traffic is overtaking you, move over to the right lane and slow down.
