I 40 conditions?
Hi, I would like to get a general idea of of the road conditions on I-40 between Nashville and Flagstaff. We will be leaving on our trip in a little over a month and just wanting to know how rough they are.

We drove it last year from Az. to OKC. Lots of traffic but no problems. From OKC we went north.

I've done that entire route. Worst area is Memphis, but after that it's okay the rest of the way.

I drive into OKC Mon - Fri from about 30 miles east. From just west of the Harrah Rd exit (exit 172) on west for about eight miles is under construction. You can get through ok, just be aware as you approach this area. In some places, the concrete barriers will be on both sides of the west bound lanes and because of the work being done, the lanes are narrower.

I think the worst part of I-40 is to the west between Flagstaff and Kingman but the state is finally working on it.

Could you elaborate? Are these rest stops? What?
