I-40 from Williams to Barstow

I'm looking to drive a portion of this route in a few days. I know and have experienced the roughness of I-40 from Williams to Kingman. How is the road from Kingman west to Barstow?

Kingman to Barstow is no problem, unlike the 40 out of Flagstaff. You should be fine.
I got stuck in Kingman with a broken fan belt. While I was at the Freightliner dealer a big rig was towed in DOA. Road was so bad it knocked out his electrical system

Have a place in mind if you need a stopover for a night. There aren't a lot of places and the terrain is awful. It will soon pass.

If you are staying in Barstow, recommend Newberry Springs RV park. Right off the 40 before Barstow. Nothing fancy, but clean with pull thrus and easy in and out. Place even has a lake...with water.
