I-70 to Hwy 36 Between St Louis and KC

Headed west in a couple days. I want to take Hwy 36 most of the way to Denver. Looking for suggestions on the best way to get to 36 from I-70 between St Louis and Kansas City. Gonna be a long day so want to make a little time on I-70 before heading up to 36. Google and Garmin take me into KC and north to 36.

There's several roads along the way, but looking for some actual seat time on these roads as to what would be best. It may be going into KC and then north. I should be in KC in the 10 - 12 timeframe.

Looks to me 63 would be a good choice...or, the 435 around KC to the 29......will be going this way next week, only east...

You could take US 61 north out of Wentzville, MO to Hannibal, MO then take US 36 west across Missouri from there. Both US 61 and US 36 are good highways and they are mostly four lane roads in Missouri. Keeps you off of I-70 through Missouri dealing with many trucks.

If you want to make time stay on I-70 to I-435 North around KC then I-29 North to St.Joe. Otherwise either US61 out of Wentzville or US 63 out of Columbia Mo or US65 at Marshal Mo.

Thanks for the input. Needed to make up some time so decided to take I-70 all the way to Denver. Wasn't bad.
