I 75 Tifton, GA to Memphis

Staying in Tifton on our way up to Memphis from FL to Memphis in April. It seems there are two ways to do this: I75 to 20 through Atlanta or 82W.. What is 82 like for a 34ft gasser? Also what about the stretch of road from Birmingham to Memphis like, hills, two lanes? I22 /Rt 78?

Is it worth doing 82 to avoid Atlanta? I will try and time off rush hour however......

Thanks

We take 20 to Birmingham then north to Memphis probably 3-4 times a year. Once you get onto I78 there are a few miles of stoplights (but plenty of truck stops and large gas stations you will need anyway). Once on the new highway it's all clear 4 lanes to Memphis. Very easy highway.
