I-90 alternative

We will be heading west on I-90 from Wisconsin to South Dakota. As I remember from the last time we made this trip, I-90 through Minnesota may be the worst interstate stretch that there is. I had a few fillings pop out on those concrete seams.

I'm looking at alternative routes and was wondering if Rt. 9 in Iowa is a viable choice? Anybody with suggestions? We are headed to Sioux Falls, SD. Thanks for the help.

I recently travelled I-90 between Worthington, MN eastward into Wisconsin ... the rough section that used to exist between Rochester and Lacrosse has been replaced ... nice road now.

I see you are from Rolling Hills Illinois. We are from Janesville, Wi., We are attending the Illinois Samboree in Henry, Il, Labor day week end. . We leave from there for the Black hills. We take I80 to Omaha, then angle Northwest to Valentine Ne. We then take 385 in to Hot springs., then up to Spearfish canyon, and everything in between,.. Will return on I90, hit Wall, and the Badlands, Corn Palace, and back to Potosi, Wi. for our Chapter meeting at Grant River C.O.E.. on Sept 18th. Maybe the temps in Sept will not be in the 100's.!!!.

Thanks Tom. We will be near the Wisconsin border when we pull out Monday. We are full timers and headed all through the southwest before heading back to Florida for the winter. I like heat but not like they are having right now. I hope it abates for their sake.
