I-90 Janesville WI Area

We will be heading south from northern Wisconsin & trying to decide what route to take.
I'm hearing from a couple of people that there is a lot of construction going on near Janesville
Has anybody driven thru there lately?

It's summer and an Interstate. There will be construction. This link explains Wisconsin construction projects.

You can monitor traffic conditions using a smart phone, but you'll have to decide if the delays are worth trying to find alternate routes. It it's a real concern, travel in off peak hours.

Went south during the day on the Saturday before Aug. 1. Had one 15min. backup due to two lanes going into one. The signs say “Expect lane closures 8:00P.M. and 5:00A.M.”. Other than that it was fine.

Do not head south on a Sunday. It is bumper to bumper with folks going back to Illinois.

I-90 past Janesville needs to be worked on. Each of the last two years that stretch has been among the worst we've encountered. We were last through there this past May.
