I travel that road everyday...take the I 295 east beltway. Avoid going downtown on 95, very rough ride in the construction area. Traffic will vary based on the time of day. Best to come thru after 9am and before 4 pm. After 6pm is good. You will have 1 tall bridge to deal with.

Jacksonville native here. Take the East beltway for smoother roads and less construction. There is a 1 mile area at the big bridge over the river that won't be bad. I 95 through downtown has 2 or more miles of orange barrels and bad pavement I don't take my trailer through. West beltway is longer around .

It is clearly marked. It is right after the airport exit on the right and is a flyover that breaks left over I 95.

No way to avoid a bridge as the St johns river dumps out to Atlantic in JAX and comes up from Orlando. This river flows south to north which is one of the view to do this.
