I69 condition Indy to Ft.Wayne?

Need a better way back to north central Ohio. We used I30and I75 in Ohio which were pretty good but once we got near the Indiana border on I70 we ran into a 50 minute delay. Once we were thru that we figured it would be okay but soon found out what wasn't under construction should be!!! The road condition from the Ohio line to Indianapolis is nasty. Thinking of going back via I69 to 224 then east to I30 in Ohio. Thoughts please, and thanks in advance.

Not sure where you are coming from. This past spring we used US6 to US20 to I90 outside of Cleveland to bypass I90 as we were heading east. The surface roads were in good condition and traffic wasn't bad, even through the small towns.
