I70 Rest Areas in Western Kansas

I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw in Central to Western Kansas, for you folks that like to dry camp. Many of the I70 rest areas have a loop at the end of the rest area specifically for overnight coaches and TT/5vers. They allow stays of up to 24 hours. The separation from trucks is awesome. Yes, this time of year, folks are going to run generators, but this feature is the first I've seen and nice of the Kansas DOT.

While traveling across the prairies of Western KS is not a peach for some on a hot July day, this makes I70 a nice ride. Also the quality of the road was much improved from my last trip 10 years ago.
