Greetings all, great information here! We are planning to meet my brother and sisters in Napa, CA in early July, so will be taking I-80 across Utah and Nevada and over Donner. Summer in Utah and Nevada will be on the warm side (!!), but that's when they want to be there. So. As far as long uphill stretches, the I-70 westbound from Denver is the toughest I have had. Always made it, but slowly, sometimes!
Can anyone compare the I-80 stretch through the Sierras to the I-70 climb out of Denver?
Again, excellent information here, especially about the higher rpm giving better cooling to the transmission.
Thanks!
Regards,
John
