Information needed: hwy 98 out of Page, AZ to US160

We had planned to take hwy89 straight to Flagstaff from Page, but there is a detour on 98. Can anyone tell me if there are any grades on that road? Steep or otherwise.

Thanks!

The road is very good and newly paved. It was gravel before the 89 road collaspe about a year ago. You'll have no problems. Have a good one!

Sorry, after thinking about your post I realized you planned on 98 out of Page. That would be good, but better is just taking the detour south and I believe it's Hwy 20. It runs parellel to 89. It'll be marked as the detour as you get into Page. Traffic is routed that way. That's the newly paved road because of the road collaspe on 89 south of Page. That would be shorter than 98 if you're planning to head to Flagstaff. It comes out just north of 160 at The Gap and Hwy 89. Then continue on 89 to Flagstaff.

98 is a good road to 160 but it's not the best way to Flagstaff. Like Twogypsies said, the old hwy20 is now 89T, a newly paved road to that will take you to 89 and into Flagstaff.
