Information on US 165 - Louisiana

I would like to know what type and driving conditions of US 165 in Louisiana. Going to Rayne La from Monroe La. Thank You

Just traveled from Monroe to Lafayette a few weeks ago. 165 from Alexandria to Monroe is almost all 4-lane now. There are a couple of spots in the south-bound lanes that were the old lanes that the great state of La. chose not to resurface, so they are bad. But for the most part the trip is pretty easy now. Maybe a few of the small towns are still 2 lane, but not much. Now I-49 north of Lafayette is another story. It needs resurfacing badly!!
