Is WA Route 12 good for a 40 footer?

We are back from Canada now on I90 W toward Mt Rainer. We intend to take I90 W-->I82 S-->Rt 12 W, but not sure if Rt 12 road condition permits a 40 footer with a small toad. Could someone having gone through this route confirm please? TIA.

Easily. It's a beautiful drive. The west side dropping down after white pass has incredible views. The descent west bound has some curves, but not overwhelming.

Wave at my town as you go by.

(ps, there may be construction here or there)

Caveat on the views - the smoke from distant fires has got the Yakima valley in a smokey haze. Normal mountain views from over here, aren't.

Hopefully between the altitude and natural barrier of the cascades you will not have that for long west bound, but if you are rolling 90 west towards E'burg now you certainly can see the smoke and haze ahead of you.

If you are going to take Rt 12 all the way to I-5, I highly recommend stopping at Spiffy's Restaurant (on the left, just before the I-5 on ramps). Large parking lot, good food and EXCELLENT PIES!

Ok, that's going in my notes.

I likes my pie, and pie that rates its own shout out in a post is automatically worthy of consideration.

oh, i didn't know yakima produces that much apple!! both dw and i are apple lovers, we eat apples pretty much one a day. isn't a saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"?

thanks for the info about spiffy's. we are going to hit i-5 from rt 12. swinging by and having a lunch or dinner surely makes the trip more fun. cheers
