How is hwy 49 to 98 down to Mobile?

Last July when we went that way, 49 just south of Jackson has a few miles of rough road. After that it was ok. Highway 98 is a good road.

Just got back from Pascagoula, Ms. on hwy 49. Good 4 lane hwy and the traffic is not bad. You will find congestion close to Jackson and Hattiesburg. I take I59 around Hattiesburg and pick up Hwy 98 to Mobile. I do not like to take Hwy 98 all the way to Mobile. Too congested on the west side around Semmes area. I take hwy 63 south at Lucedale down to I10 then into Mobile.
