On the way back from iRV2 Rally we are considering a side trip from Little Rock to Branson. Is US65 the way to go? 40' + toad...

This may help: U.S. Route 65 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Looks good to me. May be many small towns along the way but you might just enjoy the sightseeing aspect of the trip.

Thanks but we have all the maps and travel books we'll ever need. Was looking for someone who had driven the route lately or was very familiar with that section of US-65.........

us 65

just did this road about a month ago in a motorhome/toad. its the best route between two cities.we left Hot Springs going to Branson. you'll encounter an ocassional 18 wheeler on hills to slow you down but other than that, pretty much a rural road & small towns. a friend who lives in Benton, Ar. recommends this road. he uses it often in his 40' rv towing a chevy Tahoe. if he can do it & I can do it in a gasser, you won't have any problems.

BTW. about the only place for fuel for big rigs along here is Harrison, Ar. without checking my log book in rv, probably 4/5 hour drive. when you get down to I-40 there is some construction on highway around Conway. checkout the RV dealer that you can see that was wiped-out by the tornado early this year.

TIM-------------I see your still logged in. if you are reading this ----------anything you want to add to this?????????????
