Long Island To Ohio

We will be traveling from L.I. to Cleveland to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We are looking for interesting places to visit, eat at, and enjoy along the way. We have a few days to do the trip and need to enjoy, after settling up my mother-in-laws estate.
Thank You

If you're traveling I-80, here are a few links:

There are many PA parks and game lands along the way:

When you make it into Ohio, you should check out Cuyahoga Valley National Park (U.S. National Park Service)

Many years ago when my kids were little, (youngest is now 30) we camped at an Ohio St Park right along Lake Erie to the east of Cleveland. They had a swimming beach and we had a great time. We then stayed a night in a motel to be near an attraction we were going to visit for a day south of Cleveland. Imagine our dismay when the local news included a 'Fecal Coliform bacteria count' at various places in Lake Erie as a part of the daily weather report. We all took looong showers at the motel.

Coperstown in Cleveland. It will complete the rock and roll experience. catch a game across the street. If you like amusement parks keep going west to Cedar Point.
