Looking @ mileage tonight.

Heading to Quartzite Az next month and looking at the maps if I go west from Okla City I40 to flagstaff then drop south and catch I think it was 10, it was like 1118 miles. If I go to Dallas then go west to 10 to Quartzite its only 778 miles. Am I figuring that correct? That's close to a days drive difference and a tank of gas. I have been thru Flagstaff in my Semi driving years in the winter and I prefer to go the southern rt dropping down to Dallas then west.
Thanks for any insight.

If u go as far south as San Antonio recommend taking the toll road around Austin. The traffic on I35 south from just before Austin to San Antonio is horrible. The cost of the toll will be worth more than the traffic. Just a suggestion to consider.

Don't go to Flagstaff in the winter...without checking the weather.

West from Dallas would be I-20, which then merges into I-10 in far West Texas ...definitely a better Winter route Westward than I-40.
