Louisville, KY ?

Is it best to use the bypass I - 264 instead of going through direct on I-64 through Louisville, KY ?

Thanks !

Best to stay on I64 if heading straight thru. 264 is a very busy road and the long way around. Louisville isn't that big so bypassing not necessary.

We travel through Louisville that way several times a year from SW Indiana East-bound to Lexington/I75. The complex interchanges are replaced by a smooth direct route through the city. Traffic does get heavy from I65 to the East side of Louisville, but nothing like Atlanta I75 traffic.
