Is there any better route than the following?

I-64 from Louisville to East St. Louis.
I-265 to I-270 crossing river at Jefferson Barracks Bridge
I-270 to I-44
I-44 West to Springfield MO.
US-65 South to Branson MO.

Total miles 537

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

JC

That is the route that Microsoft Mappoint indicates.

If you make the trip over two days, the casino in East. St. Louis has a great campground.

This looks like the most direct route. My brother came from the Columbus, Ohio area across I 70 to St louis, I 270 to I 44 to Springfield and then on down 65 to Branson when we made our trip up in June.. There was 3 vehicles traveling together , don't remember where they stayed for the night. Be sure to take one of the 'outer' routes around downtown..to miss all the traffic on the main street, depending on where you will be staying.. We were on the Blue Route from the north side of Branson that took us to the West side and then on south to our campground. We stayed at Ozark Mountain Campground and highly recommend it.. lots of trees..
Enjoy your time in Branson.. so much to do and see!!! for all ages
