What is the preferred route to Glacier from Wi. 40ft Motor Home and towing, there are several alternatives on Mapquest.

Depends if you want to stop and explore along the way.... You can take I-90 or I-94 and at some point work your way up to Hwy 2. We've taken Hwy 2 from Washington to Michigan with our 40' motorhome. We enjoy the secondary roads more than the interstates. Any of the routes are good.

We did same thing last year with a stop over in Rapid city. We used I-90 to Missoula then Hwy 93 up to Columbia Falls.

Rt 2 is also a good route, however it is a 2 lane rd. which we find is nice but facilities are not the same as travelling on an Interstate.

You didn't specify what side of Glacier Nat'l Park you were going to stay on. That might help with the routing.

Good luck you're going to love it there.

I-94 west to Highway 53 north at Eau Claire. You can then catch US Hwy 2 west just east of Superior. Great route!

Smile Medora ND

There is a great attraction in south west North Dakota in the town of Medora (on I-90) ... great steak dinner and a show that will not disappoint you.

They have an RV park for your overnight stay.

I have never taken Rt 2 in a MH, multiple times in a car, and I love that route! We are taking it this summer in a MH for the first time. I have been doing alot of research on going this route in MH and feel fairly confident that it will be a great trip! Have a wonderful time! We will be staying in W Glacier as we head towards Seattle after that, hopefully still on Rt 2.
