Thumbs down Magellan GPS for motorhoming

I have a Magellan GPS, had it for about 2 years. It worked well for a while and now it takes me on strange routes. I though maybe it needs and update, soooo I went to their website. It is the most complicated mess to try to update their product. I have a smaller Garmin in my pickup and have updated that before no problems, but, this Magellan is not good. I emailed them to get help and they sent me a three page email back with the first two pages of questions and told me I had to register the product which I did when I got it.

Still have not gotten it updated. RV 9365 model.

Wow! that's good to know about Magellan GPS, currently looking for a new GPS.
Thinking about getting the new Garmin Rino GPS 755t http://amzn.to/2bOzrsH
Expensive but is GPS/GLONASS with a 5-Watt FRS/GMRS two-way radio and weather tracking system with built-in NOAA radio, up to 18 hours of battery life with a 4 AA-battery pack, 8 MP camera with built-in LED flash/torch.
Would be interested to get any feedback about tech support for Garmin GPS.

Most Magellan systems come with free updates. I just purchased a Magellen navigation unit and it comes with 4 free map updates a year. They have a new software or web address for downloading updates. Make sure you are using the correct one.

I've been using a Magellan RV9365ST for 3 years with flawless performance - far better than the Garmin units in my cars. I suggest checking the profile info which might be the cause of strange routing. Have you selected "No interstate" highways, height of 20 feet, etc., for example? As for updates, I plug it into the laptop and the update happens with no drama.
