Mid-Bay Bridge, Destin Florida Closed to RV's Until Fall 2019

We are going to Camp Gulf in Destin in August. I was looking at some routing and say on the Camp Gulf website that the Mid Bay Bridge is closed to RV's (and other large traffic). Trying to determine the best route off I-10 heading East.

I am looking at the following options, but would be happy to hear other suggestions. We have a 42 foot DP, so always concerned about low overpasses, etc.

1. Pick up FL 87 off I-10 (near Bagdad) down to 98. 98 straight to RV Park.
2. Pick up 281 just east of Avalon Beach down to 98. 98 to RV park.
3. Pick up I-110 near Brent down to 98.

For this trip, we are looking to get to our destination. Love nice scenery, but mostly looking for the least stress. Prefer to avoid traffic as much as possible, but understand there will be more.

Thanks for the any help!

Take 331 south at Defuniak Springs to 98 west. Camp Gulf is approx. 10 miles. No low overpasses to worry about.

I just checked the FDOT web sitE and it said the mid bay bridge is only closed at night on certain nights. When it is closed it's from 11pm till 5 am.

Kxbronco - I will definitely look at that route. Always throws me a little when I think I know the route and it gets changed up.

h20ski - I found a press release from FLDOT dated 06/14/2019. Specifically says, "Traffic on the bridge will remain limited to two-axle vehicles including cars, trucks, SUVs, school buses and limited EMS and first responder equipment only. Semi-trucks and commercial vehicles will be required to use alternate routes until permanent repairs to the Mid-Bay Bridge are complete.". Now technically, we are 2-axles, but that press release combined with the note on Camp Gulf's site, leads me to believe that we wouldn't be allowed on the bridge. I did send an email to the person listed as the contact on the release, but haven't heard anything back.
