I pulled my 5er over both of them last fall. I would have to say that the Beartooth is slightly more difficult, but neither of them presented any significant problem. and i am a flatlander from Illinois.

I would also mention the rte 12 "hogback" has a lot of pull-offs. Just stop and take in the view. Remember, most everyone else is there for the same reason. So no one is in a hurry. It is OK to take your time.

How would you compare them to the million dollar Hgwy. between Colorado springs and Silverton. Drove it in my 170" wheel base Sprinter van last year, it was GREAT.... but i don't think my wife will ever be the same !

Talking bryce canyon to moab on 12 and 24

I just drove from Bryce canyon to moab yesterday on hwy12 then 24 in a 44 entegra pulling a 4 door wrangler....we did not have any problems driving that road at all it is a super scenic drive if you miss this road you miss on one of the most scenic roads in US....it was a little tight on top where there are no guardrails for less than half a mile...anyways where you have big hills speed is 15 to 25 m/h...we took it slow but if you are nervous driving on an interstate do not go there....if you can driving in your lane there is no danger to drive on this hwy....if you have an old rig with soso brakes and a small engine...i would take an alternate...i barely used my brakes but used the engine brakes a lot...
just me.....after driving roads in mexico this is nothing...

Enjoy Utah ... we have fallen in love with that corner of the world
2X on Capital Reef. Suggest trying to fit it in or drop Bryce to make up some time. Hopefully I don't get flamed for the Bryce suggestion.
