Moab to Vernal Utah ( dinosaurs) easiest road

Rather than heading into salt lake we’re heading to Vernal Utah from Moab after vernal to 80 east
6/191 north of Moab to 191 to 40 to vernal? OR east on 70 to 139 /64 N to 40 back west to vernal?
Thanks!

191 from Moab to Vernal.

(On your other post I gave CO 13 north to I-80 because you didn't feel comfortable with 191 to I-80 which is very steep. I didn't know you wanted to stop in Vernal for Dinosaur Nat'l Mon. However, from Moab to Vernal take 191 which isn't steep. It gets steep north from Vernal)

Appreciate the answer. From vernal I will go east on 40 as you stated than 13 north.
Trying not to backtrack to 191 from Moab but from Moab does seem easier to head north
Playing with upcoming storm this weekend
Thanks!

191 Between Price and Duchesne, goes over Indian Canyon.

A bit steep on both sides.

Not anything troubling, just a FYI

After topping out around 9100'

Heading North

8% at first, 2 1/2 miles I believe then 6% for a few more miles, then 3%

My options are limited to 3
1) from Moab to 70 east to 139 in Colorado north to 64 to vernal. Passes near 8500’ all the way
2) 70 to 6/191 north to vernal BUT 9000’ and 8 degree passes
3) drive towards Salt Lake City than backtrack to vernal on 40
Not many options
