I read your post wrong the first time, sorry. Hiway 12 going east is very good except for about 10 miles of awful construction about 35 miles east of Helena @ Townsend. I came through that way coming back home from YNP and it was 1 MPH in some spots with huge holes and soft spots. Other than that it's good to the ND line.
