Montreal to Bar Harbor, ME

There are two suggested routes, one goes up to Quebec and back down to Bar Harbor and the other is a more direct route through the Appalachians on US Rt 2. Seems that US Rt 2 could be much more scenic. Should I be concerned with US Rt 2 in my 40 ft RV with toad? Are the roads decent and reasonable to navigate? Thanks for any comments.
Jim

Montreal is in QB. It has to be routed through that province. Did you leave something out of your post? Starting point, ending point?

Quebec is a city as well :-). I have not been on Rt 2 in a long time but it is quite narrow winding. 201 is a better, faster road but Besides being a lot slower Rt 2 would be fine. Seems like there is a better way to get to 201 & Maine border than going up to Quebec.

I have travelled US 2 from Burlington, Vt to Bangor, ME in our Journey towing ... it is a good road ... and quite scenic ... no problems.

Enjoy Ba Ha Ba
