More road report, PA, OH
There's about a 40 mile segment of westbound I-80 in the Poconos, say from about Stroudsburg to the I-81 intersection, that has some pretty noisy and cracked sections in it. After that, however, we were pleasantly surprised, as I-80W was a nice ride all the way through the state to Ohio.
Our route followed I-80W / I-76W / I-71S. After transitioning to I-76, there were a few rough patches east of Akron, and a few again between Akron and I-71. Once on I-71, it was fine road all the way into Cincinnati, like the Ohio highways I remember from many years ago. The only exception was around Columbus. Traffic was thickening on the downtown leg of I-71 (3:30PM), so we elected to take the I-270 bypass around the west side. In the southwest quadrant there were construction/traffic delays in an area of some pretty beat up road, but it probably didn't amount to more than a 10-15 minute delay.
All in all, I-71 is good road all the way through Ohio.
