This summer while driving on an interstate highway at about 65 mph, I saw the red/blue flashers on the shoulder about a half mile away. I moved to the left lane. When within about 100 yards of the troopers's car I was passed on the right by a motorist in a hurry. The trouper had just finished with that stop and got in and stopped the motorist in a hurry about a mile up the road. I once again moved to the left lane.

Sometimes have been stuck in the right lane and couldn't get over. Just slow down and hug the center stripe. Works for me.

I too move over and/or slow down... just common courtesy imho

I've been one of those guys on the right shoulder...
and it's not a PUFF of wind - it's a TORNADO force wind that hits you...

Was in my Dodge engined class c that had broke down (before cell phones) and decided to just sleep there until daybreak...

Slept MAYBE 30 seconds as traffic rocked me HARD every minute it seemed!

Same holds for construction zones. I've spent many days working in the closed lane only to have people seemingly actually accelerate! It looks like they are aiming right for you, and it can get real scary out there. SLOW DOWN!

Yeah, Right!

You realize Pete that they may actually know who you are and possibly have your photo pasted to their dash ... just in case they run across you sometime.

With my luck at being run over by construction equipment, I sure didn't need cars and trucks aiming for me to!
