We are heading to Myrtle Beach and we are going to have to travel I88/81 due to scheduling. I know it is not the most direct route but if I go thru DC it will be mid to late afternoon. I can get thru Pa no problem but was wondering any of you could get me directions from Pa to MB please be specific, Thanks in advance Ed

I have used I-278 (??? heads due West from MB) from MB to I-77, thru Charlotte to I-81 coming home from MB to NJ. I hit Charlotte mid day and the traffic wasn't too bad. It is an option.

However, I would use FC's directions, or even stay on I-81 to I-64 (at Richmond) and take I-64 over to I-95.

When we took this route, we would never miss the portion of route 17, as it was the prettiest part of the trip south. Beautiful area and a change from the interstate.
