Myrtle Creek Or to WaldPort Or

Heading out tomorrow and both GPS's have me heading out of Myrtle Creek Oregon on I-5 and taking exit 136 to OR hwy 138 to Elkton/Reedsport, then onto hwy 38.

Is this a good road for a motorhome with a Toad on the back? Anything I should know about?

Tripcheck.com can be helpful. It's run by Oregon DOT and shows the main state roads , with info on construction, traffic conditions, truck restrictions. The symbols have pop-up windows with details of the restriction--weight, vehicle width, etc. I would check that out as a start.

Can't help you with that but last week came from Tillamook across to I-5 which was ST route 18 and then 22. State route 18 was a tad tight in some spots and kind of slow but it was a Sunday afternoon and lots of vehicles heading back inland. Hopefully someone will respond with good info.

Exit 136 at Sutherlin (Hwy 138) to 38 west to Reedsport is a flat but sometimes curvy good highway for RVs. We've done it with a 40' motorhome a few times.

However, tomorrows Saturday so depending on the weather there you might have company on the highway. Weekdays are much more pleasant.

Suggested route is a good one - I-5 > Hwy 138 > Hwy 38 and then north on US 101. Have driven it several times in motorhome. Watch your speed going through Scottsburg. It is 40 mph through Scottsburg, then a tight turn on to a narrow bridge. I think the suggested speed is 35 at most. If you take it faster, you may lose your mirrors. Happened to a couple friends.
