Napa, CA via Yosemite in March

First of March we are planning on leaving Tucson, AZ and spend two weeks winding up to Napa, CA. We would like to visit Joshua Tree, Death Valley and the fringes of Yosemite. What are people's suggestions on Yosemite route? We are in a 38' DP and towing a Jeep Wrangler.

March is pushing the envelope for Yosemite weather wise. The Sierras are getting quite a bit of snow this year. I'd be checking ahead to see if you can even get in.

I wasn't suggesting you completely disregard Yosemite, just watch the weather & call ahead. Yosemite can be incredibly beautiful with snow.

Towing a Jeep . . . Definitely do not skip Yosemite. Park the RV way outside the park & drive the Jeep up. (Might need chains.). The best time I ever had up there was just before New Year's about a decade ago. Had a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with FT4WD. Everybody else was being turned back if they didn't have chains. Couple of feet on the ground. Light snow falling. They were keeping the roads as clear as they could. Just incredible. We left the RV at the Mariposa fairgrounds (not scenic or level but has hook-ups) or the upper campground at Lake McClure. Very nice with hook-ups. Access the park via 140 if weather is an issue. If you prefer to keep the DP off back country roads, The Lakes RV in Chowchilla is top notch. Right off 99. The town is sketchy but the adjacent shoping center is newer & just fine. You might consider investing in the Mountain Directory app if you haven't traveled the west much. Invaluable info on grades, etc.

Thanks all for the suggestions. We are going to do the Park and even Sequoia but stay in Visalia and Mariposa. Also have chains for the Jeep.
