Nappanee 131 to Indy

I came up 131 from Indy to Rt 6 Friday & the road was 4 lane & pretty good except by 465 in the construction, anybody know a good way around this?

jtovo----we live just off US 31 North and deal with that construction almost daily. It is horrible! Down around where we live at 241st St if you try to get around the construction it takes you just as long as suffering through it to get anywhere.
You might want to just go east from Nappanee on Hwy 6 to Hwy 15 thru Warsaw and on Hwy 30 toward Ft Wayne and hit I-69 and go south to I-465 East to go back around Indy.It would be out of the way and longer but there is no construction that I am aware of on I-69 at this time.
We drove to Ft Wayne last summer using the "backroads" and found it interesting.
Did you come all the way up from Florida for service?? If so how was the trip up I-65 thru Louisville? We are leaving for Fl next week and we were thinking of going thru Cincy because we heard the bridge on I-65 over the river was one lane.Did you see any of this??

I did come up from Naples, I have to be in Chicago & thought I might as well get repairs done.
I-65 thru Louisville was down to one lane & parts of the road from Seymour to Louisville were starting to have lane closers also. I am thinking to take Rt 30 to 75 & avoid the whole scenario, I probably will just take 75 back to Florida.

We went though Louisville a couple of weeks ago and had no issues getting through on a Monday in early afternoon. There are more lane closures the farther south you go on I-65.
