Any cautions on taking I-65 From Indianapolis through Louisville,Nashville,Birningham, and Montgomery in terms of traffic or road conditions etc. My destination is Marianna,Florida. Other route suggestions are also appreciated.

metro Birmingham has some of the roughest roads we have come across lately. Take it slow through there, otherwise it is a good route.

Hi 05kstar,
My route is once in Indianapolis, take I74 to Cincinnati and get I75 South to Florida. If you'd like to have something to do, consider The Creation Museum south of Cincinnati. Go to Creation Museum Video | Creation Museum and read about it.

When in eastern Tennessee (Knoxville), you'll be close enough to the Pigeon Forge entertainment area. This is a nice pace to stop, for a few days, and be entertained.

I prefer the route you have mapped rather than I75. I75 is a lot more crowded and going around Atlanta is a must for me.Hiway 231 is a decent road as well.

GaryKD,hope You are feeling better. How are the hills going 75 ? I know we have the same coach, but I do not have supplemental braking on my toad. Also I have been warned to avoid I-24,is this a valid concern. Thanks.

I do not remember I24. This means it could not have been better or worse than the average Interstate highway. As to I75 hills, as always you should be okay, except for a panic stop on a down hill grade. The hills on I81 and I77 are much worse.

To get through Atlanta, I get in the #3 lane and stay there.
