need help with route planning

I'm hopping some one with experience might lend some advice today on the route to take from Pittsburgh to Winnebago Industries in Forest City Iowa. The storms are clearing out so we are looking at I-70.
We are 2 months from California and are now headed back. Thinking of driving the Lewis and Clark Trail starting tomorrow.
Anyone with advise?

If you're concerned about road conditions/construction, ever state haa a Dept of Transportation (DOT) web site and 800 phone number that you can get road information.
