Need quick advice on route from Virginia to NJ

Hi. I am in need of a quick response if anyone can help. Due to high wind predictions in the area for tomorrow, we made a last minute change in our plans. We are in Haymarket VA (south and west of DC) and want to drive to central NJ tonight. I've been told that you can't take the tunnel because of propane so I need an alternate route. 301 is one possibility but it adds about an hour to our drive. Right now, that seems like the best route but if anyone has a better suggestion, lease let me know We'll be leaving in about an hour or two. Thanks everyone,

Just bypass 95 tunnels in baltimore with 695. . High winds I would avoid 50 n bay bridge n 695 key bridge. .. use 695 towards towson

Sunday go around the Baltimore Beltway inner loop to I-95 on the North side of Baltimore.

Easy no real traffic.

Thanks for the suggestions. We chose 695 and it worked out fine. There was a little traffic but we were ahead of the winds. We're visiting family here in NJ for a few days before heading home for the remainder of the winter. It was a great trip and we're sorry to see it end.

Looks like you've successfully completed your trip so this isn't advice, just information.

We had to make last-minute changes to our route heading south due to high winds and not being allowed over the Key Bridge. For some reason I didn't think of swinging west on 695 so we just went through the tunnel on 95. Paid the toll and transited the tunnel. Didn't seem to garner any notice.
