Need trip advice/recommendations

Leaving Zion campground in late March 2016 traveling to Moab. Thought I would take I-15 up to someplace like Beaver to spend a few days and use the toad to see Bryce. Or is there someplace you would recommend? If I stay somewhere closer to Bryce is hwy 89 doable in a 40 MH with toad that time of year? Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated!

Many years ago we stayed at Ruby's in Bryce. I understand it is still a destination campground for the area. This summer we stayed at the Beaver KOA twice, going up and coming back. Very nice, friendly campground.

We also stayed at Ruby's at the entrance to Bryce two years ago. Nice campground and very easy access to Bryce. When entering and leaving Zion, make sure you use the west side through Hurricane. The east entrance has a mile and a half tunnel that requires a permit and has low, arched ceiling. You have to ride the center line through the tunnel after it is shut down for one way traffic. Also, no combination of tow/toad over 50' long is allowed.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looked at Rudy's but they don't open till 1 Apr so that's why I was looking for other options. I'll take the long way around coming out of Zion as that road sucks in a 40 foot RV and that tunnel the DW still remembers and says no way!
