Nevada Hwy's

Can anyone advise me on which route I should take. The Needles Hwy from Hwy 40 to Laughlin, NV., or take Hwy 95 from Hwy 40 to Laughlin,NV
And a couple of day's later heading west on hwy 80 headed to Carson city, should I take Hwy 95 south to Hwy 50 west into Carson city or should I continue west on Hwy 80 to 395 south. 3500 Dodge Ram Quad Cab and 40ft Jayco, Pinnacle.

Thanks for any information, Keith

Gambling road trip,lol. or

Sounds like fun, gambling road trip! Done that a few times and enjoyed it. Nevada is a great state to travel in motorhome. Either way to Laughlin is fine. I've even traveled the River Road from Needles to Laughlin in my 36ft. Needles highway if I recall correctly is on the AZ side. If you need a gas best to take this route since gas will be cheapest on AZ side, by a lot. But, be aware you hit several traffic lights. As for 95 it's a longer trip and you hit a high pass that will cause you to roll along about 30/40mph for a while. For Carson City, I've always wanted to take hwy 50 and pass through some of the old mining towns. I'm going to plan that soon. That would be a kick for me, maybe not you. If time is an issue take 80/395 otherwise, explore the outback of Nevada! Your alternate route from Laughlin to Carson city is through Las Vegas and Tonopah. If you go that route make sure you stop at the Mizpah hotel for lunch (tonopah)! I hear they are open now after being closed for years. Casino on left as you enter town, lol.
